Description

Are you running a Home-Based Business or planning to? Then this session is a must attend.

About this event

What are the rules for running a home-based business? Find out with this informative workshop.

Hear from various teams within council on how to ensure your business operates within the rules and does not have too great an impact on your neighbours.

If there is one thing that the COVID restrictions have shown, it is that working from home is a viable alternative for many. This has also resulted in an increase in the number of people who are, or are considering, running a business from home. Unfortunately, this has also meant that there has been an increase in complaints from residents related to the operation of a home-based business.

This panel-based session with representatives from the four areas of council that look after the various regulatory rules related to operating a home-based business will provide information on what you can do. There will also be an opportunity for you to ask questions.

The panel will consist of representatives from: Planning; Environmental Health (for Food, health and beauty related businesses); Compliance (for footpath advertising and parking rules); and Economic Development (for generic business information).

So join in and make sure that your business is the best it can be

Council is also hosting a survey of home-based businesses with prizes to be won. To participate, enter here before 14 October.
