Innovate Casey: Celebrating Sustainability in Action

Join us for a celebration of innovative sustainability ideas on 12 June.

Organised by the City of Casey, Innovate Casey will showcase sustainability initiatives for community members and businesses, and shine a spotlight on how Casey is tackling environmental challenges with cutting-edge solutions.

The event will include a range of presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities for those interested in innovation, sustainability, and the future of our city. Light refreshments will be served from 7pm.

Hear from inspiring speakers, interact with experts, discover new ideas and opportunities, connect with like-minded thinkers, and explore the positive future of Casey.

Session details:

• Future Focused Casey 5:00 pm – 5:45 pm - Join us for a showcase of innovative sustainability initiatives on offer for the local community, including a demonstration of the free Energy Efficient Kits available for residents
• Waste Smart Business 5:00 pm – 5:45 pm Be inspired by the many innovative ways businesses can reduce waste and save money by embracing sustainable practices
• Innovate for the Climate 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm Hear from Casey’s Climate Action Living Lab partners about the cutting-edge ways they are tacking climate change and supporting biodiversity, community safety and renewable energy in the City of Casey. This includes co-designing educational materials with local schools, cultivating endangered plants, and monitoring bandicoot and koala populations across Casey
• Energy Smart Business 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm Learn how businesses can cut their electricity bills by improving energy efficiency, including using smart technology to reduce energy waste
• Positive Futures 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm Be uplifted by a positive vision of the future, presented by innovation expert Arielle Breit. Arielle will introduce the concept of the “Symbiocene” - a world where human culture, technology and nature are deeply interconnected and mutually beneficial. The presentation will share practical examples of how sustainable innovation is shaping this future.
