MEET THE 2025 WINNERS
Casey Business of the Year and Excellence in Innovation Category Winner:
Doogood Australia
We’re proud to celebrate Doogood Australia, our City of Casey Business of the Year and Excellence in Innovation Category Winner. This proudly Australian-owned, family-run company, based in Doveton, has been delivering end-to-end steel fencing and coating solutions since 2007, with in-house expertise across steel supply, fabrication, welding, pressing and high-quality powder-coating.
Their collaboration with Deakin University led to the development of a crash-tested vehicle mitigation fence, a world-class innovation that fills a critical market gap. Judges described it as an impressive product development process, underpinned by a significant university partnership and global testing to exceed international standards. They also commended the company’s continuous innovation and deep passion for solving real-world challenges.
Beyond their technical achievements, judges highlighted Doogood Australia’s people-first culture, noting their commitment to helping individuals “feel good in their own skin” and their thoughtful use of customer personas to guide design and product decisions. The company’s focus on local employment, support for community clubs, and strong industry leadership all contributed to their well-deserved win.
Judges described Doogood Australia as a great business story from grassroots beginnings to a 100+ person enterprise. With their outstanding performance across innovation metrics, community engagement and industry excellence, it’s no surprise they were recognised as this year’s City of Casey Business of the Year.

Excellence in Environmental Sustainability Category Winner:
Berwick Twinklestar Early Learning Centre
Berwick Twinklestar Early Learning Centre has established itself as a leader in embedding sustainability deep into early childhood learning. From the moment the children step into the centre, they engage with practical programs like the food-caddy system and the “Trim Your Bin” initiative, learning firsthand about reducing waste, recycling and looking after the planet.
Their curriculum doesn’t treat environmental care as an add-on, it’s part of the everyday experience. Young learners explore, play and discover in an environment where caring for the earth is woven into their routines and mindset. These early habits aren’t just for the classroom: children are encouraged to bring their learning home and carry positive change into their families and the broader community.
