Focus on networking at recent business events in Casey

There was a great turnout at the Narre Warren Berwick Business Group Launch event on 28 March. Entrepreneurs and business leaders were seen making connections at the event, which saw more than 80 attendees.

Berwick MP Brad Battin, Narre Warren North MP Belinda Wilson and La Trobe MP Jason Wood, as well as City of Casey CEO Glenn Patterson and Director of City Planning and Infrastructure James Collins also attended the launch to show their support for the initiative shown by business network groups in Casey.

Speaking at the launch, City of Casey CEO Glenn Patterson commended the leadership shown by the executive committees of the Narre Warren Business Group, Berwick Business Group and Berwick and Beaconsfield Chamber of Commerce to amalgamate the groups to form the newly launched network of local businesses.

He also spoke about the key government infrastructure projects that were in progress in Narre Warren and Berwick will soon have the potential to create opportunities for these businesses. He encouraged businesses to lean on Council support, get involved with our business development services and continue to liaise through the Economic Development officers in Council.

The Cranbourne Chamber of Commerce also held a free talk titled ‘We are stronger together’ by Mark Watt AM, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters Australia. Business owners who attended the event were seen networking and exchanging ideas and ways to collaborate with each other at the event.
