Vision to Version Toolkit

Validating your concept

“Don’t be a solution, looking for a problem”

Now the fun begins. You have taken the time to understand your “why” and you have laid the foundation for your new start-up, but before we startbuilding our solution, we need to validate the problem. Its perfectly fine to use assumptions when we are in the ideation stages, but we can waste a lot of precious time acting on these without first validating that our idea has merit.

Checklist

  • Who has the problem and what do we need to know?
  • How to conduct an interview?
  • How to collate our findings?
  • Complete the Lean Canvas
  • Complete the Storyboard Pixar Canvas.

Outcomes

Be prepared to pivot. As we learn in later modules, you should start getting used to the idea that as a start-up, you are in constant state of “Build, Measure, Learn”. Take the time to listen to your customers, and they will reward you with insight.
