The Whisktakers is a premium patisserie in Lynbrook offering an indulgent range of desserts. Well known for its custom cakes and innovative designs, it also runs cake decorating classes, turning curious beginners into the next generation of bakers. The Whisktakers believes food is one of the most powerful ways to bring people together, a philosophy reflected in its community impact.
True to the business's name, CEO Chin Chue was willing to take a few "whisks" to pursue her passion. Holding a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, she brought a scientist's mindset to baking, applying her understanding of ingredients, reactions and precision processes to create a bakery built on exceptionally high standards. By combining creativity with testing, consistency and quality control, she transformed a passion into an award-winning business. The success of this approach is evident in 2025 alone, with The Whisktakers recognised as Best Artisan Cake Business, Best Baking Class of the Year and Pastry Chef of the Year, while also becoming a finalist at the Australian Cake Artists and Decorators Association (ACADA) Cake Oscars.
Being successful in business is one thing, but making a lasting community impact is another. With 91% of ingredients sourced from Australian producers and a commitment to procuring resources through Casey businesses first, The Whisktakers strongly supports the local economy. Its commitment to community partnership extends beyond business operations, providing school-work experience opportunities, accreditation pathways for aspiring bakers, mentoring within Casey's Mauritian community, and support through Chin Chue's involvement with Good Food Good Friends Inc. Together, these initiatives foster skills development, social inclusion and community wellbeing, creating lasting benefits for individuals, organisations and the broader Casey community.
Congratulations to The Whisktakers on being named a finalist in the Excellence in Community and Partnership Award.
